Anderson v1 pg264-265 - letter #247

Late yesterday evening the Archduke sent me a message requesting me to go to him at about half past one today. I shall probably not get away before three. So yesterday I immediately canceled the arrangement for both of us –– If you meet Henikstein,  tell him that I inform you at once of his invitation, indeed, his confidence in me is not very great; and from his point of view he is not absolutely wrong ––  I wrote to him that we would invite ourselves another time –– Many thanks for your efforts ––  I was sorry to miss you, but ––  I so seldom expect to see you at my rooms that I may be forgiven if you’re in this respect I never count on you –– You Will hear from me in good time whether you may come with Dorner to the Archduke this evening ––
